MFN Staff

Each of our Childcare Practitioners have been carefully selected for their qualifications, experience and skills.  They are friendly and approachable and are all committed to personal and professional development.

We consider experience to be the greatest of qualifications when dealing with both parents and children, therefore a huge emphasis is placed on employing qualified experienced staff as required by Ofsted: NNEB, NVQ Level 3, and City & Guild Childcare Diploma, etc. Any unqualified staff will be encouraged to study for one of these qualifications. We also endeavour to send staff on various training courses.

We have a key person system; and this ensures that there is a named person who will work closely with each parent/carer and child. This key person will be able to answer any questions that a parent/carer may have in relation to their child.  The Key person will be allocated to the parent/carer at the earliest opportunity assisting in the settling-in period. They will keep parents/carers informed about their child’s achievements, progress and development. Although a Key person is mainly responsible for an allocated child, the child will also work with other members of the team during the day.

We have a legal obligation and a commitment to keeping children safe. To enable us to do this, we ensure that all staff have undergone an enhanced CRB check and provided satisfactory references.

All new staff have an induction to inform them of our Policies and Procedures and to ensure a consistent approach.
